“Was slightly worried about staying here after some very mixed reviews...but the hotel was clean, the staff were all really helpful. Breakfast was delicious and on the 5th floor so beautiful views They have a roof top bar that is only open over the weekend so book a spot if you want to go The only downside is there is no information here on local attractions, places to visit etc. Obviously the centre of Rome is only an hour train ride but some local attractions would have been good The local beach is great, worth paying for a spot to get nice clean sand. The village has a lovely feel to it...more locals than visitors. Had a festival on so street music in the evening. Restaurants were lovely Overall....I'd definitely think about going back”
“Brilliant location on the front opposite the marina and beach .Many places to eat nearby and close to the old town bus service and train station for Rome . Great bed comfortable and lovely shower.Rooms have a fridge and plenty of wardrobe and draw space. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Some speak good English. There is a self service continental breakfast with lots of choices.”
“Stayed here after travelling through Venice, Florence and Rome. We were given a lovely welcome. Our room was clean with fresh bedding and towels. Shower cubicle could be bigger with a better design. No ventilation in the bathroom. The a/c wasn’t working, they tried numerous times and eventually gave us a fan, which was better than nothing. Also due to it being late September it was enough. The breakfast was really nice with a good selection and pleasant, friendly staff. Breakfast room is on top floor so a beautiful view over the beach and harbour. Lovely area, reminds me of very old spin. Locals very friendly and some lovely restaurants around too. 24 hour concierge. Very close to train station.”
“We stayed at the Astura after 5 days in Rome and it was a welcome change in scenery. Nettuno is a great little town, it was super easy to get there on a train from Rome. The hotel is very nice considering what we paid for it, it might be a little dated but that honestly adds to the charm. The breakfast was perfect, I’m not sure what people are complaining about, it was better than the standard free hotel breakfast. It was walking distance from everything (which is good because it seems like there are no taxis in Nettuno). This hotel reminds me of a bygone time in the hospitality industry, before the days of airBnB. Don’t underestimate how much a free breakfast and a 24h concierge service can add to your vacation. I highly recommend adding a stop here if you are traveling overseas to Rome.”
